Archive-It Discount for TDL Members

With support from the newly formed TDL Web Archiving Texas Interest Group (WATXIG) and Lori Donovan, Senior Program Manager, Web Archiving & Data Services from the Internet Archive, TDL partners will now be eligible for a consortial discount of 10% off of Archive-It

For those of you new to web archiving, Archive-It is a subscription service that allows institutions to build and preserve collections of born digital content. Through the user-friendly web application, Archive-It partners can harvest, catalog, manage, and browse their archived collections. Over 600 partner organizations have used Archive-It’s end-to-end hosted solution to create, store, and provide access to collections of web content.

Currently, eight of TDL’s member institutions are part of the initial cohort: Baylor University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, Trinity University, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Austin,University of Texas at San Antonio, and UT Southwestern Medical Center. Those members pay their annual fees to TDL as part of their membership and the Archive-It team at the Internet Archive provide training, help documentation and technical support.

We are happy to be able to provide this savings to our members, and we will continue to work with the WATXIG to build a community around web archiving in Texas, bring people together to share skills and resources to accomplish shared goals, and amplify our work that impacts the national and and international web archiving community.

Please contact Texas Digital Library at info@tdl.org if you have any questions about becoming a member or the new Archive-It discount.
