Submitting an Abstract to the Baylor Libraries Symposium

 

Thank you for interest in the Baylor Libraries Symposium.

 

The following tutorial will help authors as they submit their abstracts to the Baylor Libraries Symposium website. If you have questions about the submission or your abstract, please contact the site administrator at librarysymposium@baylor.edu.





  1. In order to submit, you must have an account with the conference website. You can create an account here: https://conferences.tdl.org/baylorlibrariessymposium/index.php/bls/index/login




  1. Once you have logged in, navigate to the Conference Home page. Under Conference Information, click on “Call For Papers.” The Conference Home page can be found here: https://conferences.tdl.org/baylorlibrariessymposium/index.php/bls/2015




  1. At the bottom of this page, under “Author Guidelines”, click on “STEP ONE OF THE SUBMISSION PROCESS”.









  1. This will take you to “Step One. Starting the Submission” where you will need to select a conference track. Choose “General Papers” from the drop down menu, and the conference reviewers will assign your submission a track.


This page will also give you the opportunity to review the copyright policy for the conference and leave a note or comments for the conference director regarding your submission - such as, any additional tracks that may fit the topic of your abstract. When you are done, click “Save and Continue” at the bottom of the page, or “Cancel” if you would like to cancel. If you cancel, your information will not be saved. You will need to begin the submission process again to make a new submission.

 



  1. Please enter your personal information, or metadata, for your submission on Step Two.




You will also enter the title of your submission and abstract on this page. There is a 400-word limit on abstracts for the Baylor Libraries Symposium. Click on “Save and Continue” to continue, or “Cancel” to cancel.



  1. Once your submission is complete, you will see the following message:



You will receive an email from the conference website to confirm your active submission.

 

Once you have submitted your abstract to the Baylor Libraries Symposium website, your submission will be reviewed by our conference reviewers. You will receive an email from the conference site when the status of your submission changes. Please contact the site administrator at librarysymposium@baylor.edu if you have questions.
