Member Story: Texas A&M Libraries promotes Open Access

TDL supports Open Access to research by providing online publication tools and services – including digital DSpace repositories and online academic journals – that member libraries and faculty researchers can use to make their work freely available.

Texas A&M University Libraries, a founding member of the TDL, held a number of activities during Open Access Week 2011 that were designed to raise awareness about the benefits of free and immediate access to research. TDL Conference Management is one many services TDL provides in support of scholarly communication. Through this service, faculty or staff at member institutions can host a conference website and manage many aspects of an academic conference online, including registration, paper submission and review, and publication of conference proceedings.
